Car just would not go, soon as boost came in it would die, thought the impco 425 were not suited to blow-thro, but
got some help and suggestions from Franz(thanks) and carby is all cool
I did initially try running different springs in the impco and the likes, it helped but didn't fix the problem
Finally tried duel Converters and duel lock-offs and she is now on the ball :P
car is getting hot while idling, brought another radiator, only for it to still do the same

Blown headgasket, still to determine damage and suss out why
it was after a big hoon that my car was crawling home in a cloud of smoke
I have some theory's at this stage, wastegate creep(was hammering to much to notice :P) overheating or distributor to advanced
ill try lock the distributor this time, say at 3000 rpm, a new castiron impeller waterpump(got some aftermarket pressed mildsteel thing), as for wastegate, time well tell and ill see if it can easily be upgraded.

Stripping motor, engine has to come out to replace head gaskets(my exhaust
design), going for copper headgaskets this time and ill get the heads O-ringed

Heads done, only jacked motor up to remove exhaust, but still a pig of a job.

Clutch slipping, brought 5 bung brass button friction plate
seems fine for now, though I was doubtful at first, think it needed bedding in
Found a way to keep temps down more, I got some insulation to put around
the radiator, to stop the hot air form recirculating.

bearing was the cause,
reco with some ford 28
spline LSD centre and
some ~3.7 gears maybe
form a Pintara or skyline
currently running 2.60....

Dyno run :):):) I said
I will be happy with 250rwkw,
and what did I get. I would be lying if I didn't want more though
It had done 2 runs, I believe the 1st run was in 4th and with the 2.60 it would have toped 300kph
it went off the Dyno scale
2nd run I think was in 2nd gear this time
They where asking me what plug gap I was running,
I believe they seen allot of unburned fuel reading form exhaust
After removing the plugs, noticed one had .023" gap, the rest .028".
I fixed it, made them all .030 and ground the earth down to cover less then the positive area.
Car seems to be pulling harder and noticing wheel spin nowadays instead of clutch
Distributor got some attention, after the Dyno run.
Initial is around 26deg and distributor I made it a total of about 6 deg.
So total roughly 32. Not sure at what revs it stops advancing at but is a shit load less than before

some date. Upgraded exhaust housing 0.87, smaller and fitted new camshaft,
turbo
grind.
Modded tank for more flow. It fixed some fuel cut out issue, still running lean at hi revs and deceleration

blown Gearbox, need alternative
brought an eBay intercooler, seems good, but needed internally cleaning

Intercooler Installed, didn't seem to make any power difference at all, though its making my lean
problem on deceleration worse. It seems to be more lean the hotter the motor gets

New gearbox after many blown m20/21's (just form acceleration)... Turbo 350, internals mod'ed, TCEconverter ~3500 stall.
WoooHooo Gas Research carby :), relocated converters to suit, spring kit in converters to match
ICE ignition leads, trans cooler

Setup B&M shifter, fab'd a bath shaped plate to allow shifter to sit lower. New boost gauge,
relocate A/F meter to dash cluster (where vacume gauge was), tuning
noticed auto makes car run hotter to, need solution, always crept up but now its faster

Alloy radiator, remove belt driven fan and running a single 16" Thermo,
relocate trans cooler. Added new fuel supply line(8mm), might run 2 if it still cant keep up
remove all mechanical advance from dizzy, drilled hole in GRA Mixer to suit(
I hope correct hole) need to look into electronics for this.. cheap
noticed GRA kited converters leaking, will get new pivot seal in converter
plan bigger breaks and some decent rubber and add vac advance to dizzy.
Started drawing up a new power steering/alternator bracket to fix aligment and adjustment issue.
2006 on
Engine blown.
I took it to get another dyno run and tune. Engine was running hot again and it gave up.
Upgraded engine to 355 stroker with chev dished pistons. Correct Squish etc.
Added Main stud girdle to help the 2 bolt main cope with expected torque increase.
Engine blown again because of pinging, posibly just from engine running to hot(heat soaked).
The distributor timming was still in need of an upgrade and this could have contributed to the issue.
Boost was not turned up yet as i was running the engine in.
I have given up trying to make it work and hypov8 has now been sold.
